In many sewered, on-site waste management systems and/or common effluent drains one of the major challenges facing designers and contractors is to ensure all pipes have adequate grade/fall and water volumes to effectively move through the system. In the past this had in many instances required the installation of expensive electrical or mechanical pumps with the associated pump sumps and wells, electrical and alarm systems, or alternatively the use of expensive and deep trenches. Not to mention the safety risk associate with these tasks.

With the installation of Drainwave drain lines and pipes can be installed with significantly reduced grades of up to 0.85%. Compared with the standard 1.65% grade, reduced grades contribute to significant savings.
