Septic Dosing Application

Research over many decades has proven that absorption trenches and beds fail through progressive clogging and biomat buildup. The problem is caused by incremental flows which causes localised ground saturation.

The Drainwave captures effluent as it leaves the septic, and utilises a tipping bucket and an internal double wave action to release batch doses of waste water into the pipes leading to the dispersion pipe network. This releases 9.5 litres of waste water over a 5 second interval. This is sufficient to evenly distribute waste water through either a 80 or 100 diameter pipe with 8mm drilled holes at 500mm centres.

Previously only pumping or siphon methods were available to overcome localised ground saturation. Both have inherent problems including, maintenance, cost, installation complexity, ground heave disturbance of levels and inlet and outlet invert level differences. The Drainwave provides a low cost, low maintenance solution, which delivers an extremely even measured dose to the whole pipe absorption network.
